Looking for some further info on this watch I just inherited, think it’s a variation of a 2636 - would love to know the year(s) of production of this dial and any other facts people have about this.

A photo of the back would help.

Looks like a ref 166.002 with a poorly refinished dial (based on the provided photo).

These were sold as Geneves, Seamasters, Seamaster Geneves and plain dials with no designation depending on market.

Could just be distortion in your photo but the cross-hairs seem a bit thick and the printing seems sloppy.

Sharper photos would help.

Better pictures are needed but imo it could well be original. This broken crosshair design is a legitimate variation in the 166.002.
My gut feeling is that it’s original.

I’ll post a better picture tonight, it is this variation just minus the lume plots, was quite surprised about the flag of it being poorly refinished

Hi everyone, I am buying an Omega Geneve watch; but just realised that it doesnt say Geneve on the dial as all the others that i’ve looked at. The seller says it was left out on Geneves produced for certain markets. Have any of you here heard the same? Best regards and thanks from Peter.

It is hard for me to decide if the dial is original or not so I'll leave that call for other members ,
but the case back was Butchered , way over polished .
this model is common and prices are very responsible so unless this is really cheap I would stay on the hunt for a better one .
