    Hi,

Picked up a vintage Omega Geneve today for a decent price I think (abt. 250$). Cal 1030 so should be 70's I guess.

Anyways, I have no reason do doubt the authenticity of the watch, but I was puzzled to see that the crown doesn't have the Omega logo on it, but rather the letter "K". Can anyone tell me what's up with this? Is the crown not original? Was this something Omega offered on the Geneve series for a time? Please see photos below.

    Appreciate your feedback!

Crown was replaced with an incorrect one.

Yes crown looks like a great pustule on the nose of a beauty queen. These later thin-lugged Geneves came with an appropriately sized crown. I would have it replaced with a genuine Omega crown, mainly to assure of a good seal at the crown pipe.

    Cheers

I would of given this watch a wide birth, I'm not an expert so discard my thoughts. To me that back stamp looks cheap and the dial does not look Omega at all to me.

Omega have been using Breguet/Paris/Empire style numerals and Leaf hands for over a hundred years. Not unusual to see on an Omega.
