    Hi my new friends,
My first post here . I bought an Omega Geneve dynamic but now i notice that the accent over the E isn´t there :( . Plus i've been trying to find the same dial and hands that i have on mine on any other OGD but have not been able to. I'm wondering if any of you can see if it's a redial?
Here the link to the watch.

As the dial looks more like a Seamaster 300-ish dial, my guts tell me that this is a redial.

Redial. Shouldn't there be metal surrounding the day/date window?

Definite redial, for all sorts of reasons. I also vote for a return :(

    Bad redial, return it.

Dynamics never had dials done like this.

No frame on the day/date Dynamics.

Thanks for the help. Funny thing i had a bad gut feeling so i asked the seller if it was a redial and he said no , and i got sent an authenticity certificate.
I Wonder what he says now when i want to return it.

Would be interesting to see how that "authenticity certificate" is worded.

What was the authenticity certificate? :\

Is it just a piece of paper from him saying its authentic?

Yea, but he's just done that after the fact. The watch is real, there's no question about that. Its that the dial is absolutely not original, and in fact doesn't even look remotely like a real Geneve. This dial was used on Rialmasters and some Seamasters from a different watch model line in a different era. It just looks wrong on a Geneve Dynamic.

Okay, time to stop pulling punches.

That means 4500 people who aren't collectors and fastidiously scrutinize things for originality bought form him.

And the piece of paper with the store name that "certifies" originality is bullshit. Many sellers haven't the slightest clue what is and isn't original. OR, even WORSE, the seller is using semantics - the slab of metal is the original dial..... but the paint is not. ::censored:: This pattern is the most common of the redials if not trying to reproduce the original pattern, and it's done because novices will pay more for it.

If he balks at taking the return, link him to this thread.

Thanks Norm - I forgot it was a Genève. The pattern threw me off.

I agree. Something more like this, although there are a lot of different variations:

But never a "Railmaster"-style, AFAIK. Simply not funky enough.;)

Someone tried to imitate the Railmaster or Ranchero style dial. Doesn't work for me here. That being said, the price isn't bad and if you could find an NOS replacement dial on eBay.....:whistling:
