    Hello All,

I browse the forum a ton, but rarely post.
    I had a quick question:

I have purchased a Geneve with a caliber 565 movement. No history of service. The hour and minute hands move when the crown is pulled out appropriately and the quick set date functions as well. When the crown is twisted to wind the watch, the winding weeks turn, however the watch does not engage and start ticking (the second hand does not move at all)

Based on the description, is there a culprit that something is broken, misaligned? I really appreciate any info before I take it in for local watch repair. Thanks!

If winding is weak with little resistance. Probably a broken mainspring
