Uses the 565 automatic movement, 24 jewels with quickset date. 33.53m serial, which dates it to around 1971. About 35mm wide exc crown and about 11mm deep. Case in very good condition with sharp edges and all original finishes present, no sign of any refinishing. Original signed crown and original unmarked crystal with logo. In very good condition for its age with just a very few inevitable scratches. Serviced by the Essex Clock and watch a couple of months ago, receipt showing this will be provided. Running strongly and keeping good time at around +4s day. Fitted with black calf leather aftermarket strap. Watch is located in Birmingham UK and is available to view face to face. This is the sort of watch that a beginner should buy and enjoy while they spend the coming months doing their homework. The later Geneves are really excellent value.
Well worth it. It's a lovely watch and if I didn't already have a similar I would have been in for it. No use to you, of course, but a real nice watch.
The word "bargain" is much misused, but a serviced 565 in this condition at this price really is a bargain. If it stays on For Sale, it will sell. It just might take a little while as a majority of forum members are either higher-end collectors or already have one like this. I have no personal interest in this either way but I know a good deal when I see one.
