Omega geneve 1481 movement

hey, just found this geneve online being sold and the guy is maybe 20 miles from my house. I know it’s not a fake, well in my limited knowledge it is not but I’m not sure about the hands and other such things. The gentleman is asking 300 for it I shot him an offer of 275 to feel him out. He stated he only wore it for 3 hours if it kept good time for that short period. It has a replacement band of course but I’m thinking at 275 it may be worth taking a shot at. I wanted some opinions from those of you who have one or know more just by looking. I’ve read some people aren’t hip on the 1481 movement. So I may take a shot at this unless someone tells me it’s a definite walk away. I am curious of the value once it’s serviced and running well (hopefully) I do not care about resale it’s just I want to make sure I’m not overpaying. Alright thanks. That was my concern the hands. I guess tissot and omega worked together on the movement. That’s what one source online said. It’s strange because the crystal has the omega symbol, at least he thinks it does. 275 for the watch itself doesn’t seem to bad but yeah you gotta consider the service. Are u positive the hands are wrong how can I check that, I was looking at that as well and did ask him about it I don’t think he knows a lot about it it was one of those family finds. I don’t know I’m looking around on Chronos and other sites and I’m seeing hands like this. This isn’t my model of course but I do see a few that are losing whatever that is on the hands. Not quite sure what I’m going to do. I do see the watch selling from 500 to over 600 but of course condition is going to effect that and these hands are definitely an issue. I have two choices, walk away or negotiate further but why buy something with this issue. Unless I could get it real cheap I guess I’ll walk away. As far as the movement goes I guess the 1481 that ended up in tissots had less jewels. There is a discussion on it on the watch you seek but I could only get through part of it as the sight freaked out. They could just have been talking about 1480

Ya that’s nice looking. It is a nice watch. I took a minute to look up replacement hands and I only saw then in gold. Omega is doing the same thing rolex is doing. No longer selling parts out to sellers. There is a store online that has been dealing original omega parts for 75 years and now they are running out of stock as omega wont sell them pieces. Like the gentleman first said 275 for the watch then adding in the 180 service is gonna put me up a little high. It’s not like it’s a very valuable watch. TBH if everything was good I probably would have picked it up. If I loved the watch I’d just wear it as it is but I don’t “love it” I thought it would be a nice addition to the to the box and good to add into the rotation. Well this is just part of the process. I’ll tell him I need to pass and why, I’m sure someone out there with parts on hand will pick it up.
