Hello everyone,
I recently developed an interest in Omega watches and I’m quitte a newbie inthe world of watches overall.
I'd like to ask for your advice because I'm eyeing an Omega Geneva 18-karat gold watch with reference number 132.021.

I'd like to know what a fair price is for this watch. I previously bought another vintage Omega watch for which I probably overpaid.

I'd also like to know the total gold weight. The total case weight is 26.89 grams, as shown in the photos. The buckle weighs 1.7 grams. I do know the Watch is worth morde than the weight of the gold alone

I appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance!

Last one on Ebay sold for ~$1120 US, also gold, and in reasonably similar shape. IF Ebay doesn't do its link replacement, see here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/389358325187?
Thanks for the reply Erich. The link isn’t working for me. I don’t know when that Watch was sold but I’m guessing it’s worth more now in gold alone

It was December, so adjust expectations accordingly.

Okay, the gold price has risen by $15 per gram compared to December. I don't know exactly how much gold is in this watch, but the difference in gold value will be around $200.

Thats a touch high estimate for gold content, but not horribly so. Note of course that 'gold' value is ~80% of 'spot price', since getting spot price on unmelted gold is a pipe dream.

I'm guessing the only difference in value is the gold price though since then, so at best, ~1300. If you are selling, list on ebay and see how it does, if buying, perhaps see what you can do on negotiation.
