The Omega CK 785 Foibos ( in Greek the shining one) first issued in 1933, features what would have been at the time quite radical art deco styling in middle of a explosion of good taste and fabulous design, not only in jewels and dresses, also cars, furniture, architecture and industrial design.

A true Art Deco classic, this stunning 1934 vintage Omega is a beautifully designed and manufactured timepiece, fully stylish, amazing trendy, the porcelain dial is a transitional selection between hundreds years of heritage in pocket dial watches, and the new painted dial trends.( Some version of the same reference model have painted dials) This nice dial has sharp, black hour markers, minute track and sub-seconds at 6:00, blue steel nice designed hour and minute hands. All the hands are original for this model, including the blue steel second hand.

The case design is very unique with a neatly inset crown and boxy/cubist style lugs holding the 18mm watch strap. The case measures 31mm in diameter excluding the crown, considered a typical men's size watch back in the 1930's. Another good example is Patek Philippe's highly sought after 30mm diameter Calatrava.

Inside the back is fully signed Acier Inrouillable, Omega, Fab Suisse, Swiss Made, case number 8709577, dated this case before 1935, when the Omega cases started with 9000000 upward.
Also the movement number is 7949617, corroborating this dating in 1934, over 8 million movement numbers correspond over 1935.

The watch is run by the Omega in house caliber 26.5SOB, hand wind and extreme reliable engineer success, no record of recently service, but the movement looks clean, is in excellent condition and keeps excellent time.
