A nice, honest example of a cal. 911 Flightmaster. The dial is in excellent condition. The hands are all clean, and the lume inserts have developed a rich honey color. After exposure to light, the lume on the indices and hands glow briefly and then fade consistently. Crystal shows some scratches and wear on edges. Any marks you may see are on the crystal and not the dial. Case has original finish with correct radial brushing, and has wear, scuffs and marks commensurate with regular use. Both case and caseback show no evidence of having been polished or refinished. Caseback is in nice condition, also with the original radial brushing on the outer beveled area with the airliner image showing clearly in the center. The cal. 911 movement runs well, with the chronograph function starting, stopping and resetting correctly. The GMT function works and adjusts correctly. The movement has not been serviced while in my possession, however several service marks are seen inside the caseback. Timekeeping continues to be very good, with the watch gaining less than 10 seconds per day when on my wrist. Correct original 1162 bracelet fits my 7 1/2” wrist well, with room for adjustment to fit an 8” wrist. All in, it is an honest original example that I’ve worn and enjoyed. But my quest to refocus my collection demands that I’ve got to give up something in order to get something. Consequently this one goes on the block. I believe anyone looking for a Flightmaster to wear and use would find this to be a good example to consider. Price is $2750 USD, exclusive of any transactional costs, delivered to the USA.
