This is a "catch and release" for me. Why? Well, I picked up three "hummers" with the intention of getting one as a daily wearer and the 198.001 has now been totally rebuilt so it's the winner. That means this one is superfluous to requirements.

This is an honest, two owner watch dating (from what I can work out) to around 1973.. The case is unpolished, though there are some surface scratches, a couple of minor marks on the one o clock lug and some dirt. Its never been "messed with". I've done nothing with the watch while its been in my possession other than running a cloth over it prior to these photos.

The watch has run perfectly while it's been in my possession over the last few weeks. Movement looks clean and there are at least two visible service marks on the caseback. I do not know when it was last serviced. While electric watches are really way outside my area of collecting, there are no obvious red flags to me.

Dial is showing its age but nothing that is too bad. I do not see the Omega logo on the glass so that is likely a generic replacement. Lume plots are unreactive to white light while the hands show a faint glow for 2-3 seconds.

The watch came on a Japanese bracelet but with original outer clasp. If the buyer wants, then this is happily included in the sale. I'll even throw in a couple of spring bars!

Price: I've struggled trying to work out the price of this. Based on what I've just had to pay to bring another example up to running condition I'm going to ask £450.00 - REDUCED TO £400. Delivery will be dependent on location and will be charged at cost. Watch and seller are located in Nottingham and I welcome face to face purchase or inspection.

Payment: PayPal F&F is preferred. Can't take credit cards but if you prefer a wire transfer, I can arrange that.

Returns: I think the watch has been presented honestly and so I won't accept returns unless there is some catastrophic fault or misrepresentation. If a buyer does feel the need to return the watch, that will be at their cost.

About me: just someone with a crazed love of watches. I have an eBay account with plenty of sales and a 100% feedback rating. I've bought a few pieces from OF and might even have some feedback of my own on here (I've never checked). I buy what I like and sometimes pass those on.

Thanks for looking; thanks for the space and thanks to the community for enabling my addiction.

Let's give this a bump and a price drop - £400, now excluding postage at cost.
