Hi I ordered an extract of the archives yesterday at my local boutique (3592.50.00) and was told they can take 5-6 months to be delivered. What has been the experience by other members? Think read somewhere they usually take about 4-6 weeks
Well good thing is that they did not asked me to pay for it upfront. They put the serial number on their boutique database and the system could not find information about it (sn 4825105X; supposed to be a numbered edition 3592.50.00 based on serial number and number on caseback, A051X), hope they do find the information when the museum folks search on the master files. Ordered an extract on 19th Oct for a 145.022-71 and received it on 30th Nov. So exactly 6 weeks Extract mention watch is a '74 supplied on a 1039 / 516 . I bought it on an early 1171/633 Must have been swapped during a service at some point.
I got a question: is there a website you can access to request the extract or you got do it in an AD?
I am in the UK so I ordered via this link. https://www.omegawatches.com/customer-service/extract-of-the-archives Ah.. Seems US customers cannot order this way "US Customers: Extract of the Archives are not available online but can be ordered through your nearest OMEGA boutique."
Has anyone in the U.S. been able to order an extract online now that Omega allows U.S. based internet shopping? The note saying U.S. users can't order is gone, but when you get through the ordering sheet the system is unable to calculate shipping to a U.S. address...
I called the OB, and was told to come to the OB - no online order. It was last December, and it took about 6 weeks for the EOA to arrive. It turned out great because the OB watchmaker did open the back to get / verify the serial no., and he also did the pressure test.
Agree, have experienced similar wait times. I would love to be able to order online like the rest of the world, seems like we're almost there....
Once you have the PDF file of the blank extract order form, it's quite easy to fill it out and attach it by email to the service center. Just as easy as an online submission.
Indeed - I called my local ob and they emailed me the form, which I emailed to Swatch. I ordered an extract in October, which has not yet arrived - I checked in around the first of the year and they replied that my request had been lost or something. The plus side is they're waiving the fee, so I don't mind after all!
got mine in about 8-9 weeks. it takes time but it will eventually arrive. if you order via their website, there is a part on their website where you can view the status.
