Need your advice. I took my wife's watch (see above) to my local watch specialist and he told me that he can't put a battery in it (it hasn't run for nearly 25 years!) as the sealing ring has dissolved (or something like that) and run into the movement. It would require additional tlc. Does this sound feasible?
    Tx for your help.

that certainly can happen - and it is a real pain to remove from a movement. I,d suggest that you contact Paul at

    http://electric-watches.co.uk/

He worked wonders on my f300 - and comes thoroughly recommended

    Best of luck, paul

Thanks for the tip. I've emailed Paul - or have I emailed you, Paul, after your blatant piece of self-advertising ? ;)
Will let you know what happens - unless you know already ....

I don't think Paul is Paul. Paul is Paul's customer. As is Roger now. Paul's I mean, not Paul's, of course.

Personally I think Paul only referred Roger to Paul, because Paul's been giving Paul a good Rogering

Sorry about this Paul. That's typically what you get on this forum for trying to help someone (you too. Paul.)
