Hi! I need your expertise to get some informations about my watch. Ref no: 198.765 . Back cover has no omega sign, what do you think about it? What does that ''H'' stand for? as far as i know, all parts are original because i bought this from the first owner. i also couldn't see omega sign on glass. Thank you!

yeah. looks same. what is written inside caseback? 198.765 ?

my little search says that omega produced these for JDM only. some have ''K'' marks, some have ''H'' marks.

It’s a dial variation for the f300 hummers used in markets where for whatever reason they chose to remove the f300 branding. Don’t get too excited, it might be rare but you won’t have collectors beating a path to your door. Hummers are rather niche.

the point is about caseback. not collectors attention. simply looking for an answer what does H stands for...

Japan has always been a large market for Omega - JDM does not always equal rare.
then you can give me some more examples about this watch and get more informations about why it has mark H. since they are not rare, it should be tons of examples and informations. right?

edit: i simply looking for an answer about the mark H.

The H to which you refer you is printed on in ink. It may have had meaning to the case maker or may have been a watchmaker mark. I seriously doubt it has any major significance to anyone other than whoever stamped it on there.

What is it that you suspect it signifies?

Mine, with no extra stamp (and franken-endlinks for a 1040 bracelet given the Cosmic-style socket). Japan-sourced. I love the sweeping effect of the hummer motor.

As @padders says, the H on your watch appears to be printed. This could have been done by a watchmaker at a service.

Most Omega watches were produced in relatively large quantities - this variant is most commonly seen in Japan - but f300Hz models don't get the love of some other vintage models from the brand... so tend not to be seen splashed all over the internet.

I say this as someone who own's several f300Hz Omegas, and is fond of them.

I would suggest you enjoy your watch, and not worry too much about that H.

It is not the answer to the ultimate question, the universe, life and everything - that's 42.
