Looking for a little bit of advice here please. New watch for me but just not 100% sure I like the dial. Looking on e bay there are lots of dynamic dials for sale at reasonable prices. There are caliber 1010,1012,1020,1022. Also caliber 630. Could anyone please help by telling me the caliber of this watch. Sorry have not had it opened and still not sure if I would like to change. Any thoughts appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Probably a 166.081 produced until 1975. If it is then it has a cal 565. If you don t like it then ask the seller nicely if you can return it, they might say yes, they might say no. You can probably sell it your self for what you paid, provided you didn't pay over the odds, or take a hit and use the money for something you do like.

Its not always easy to know if you will like something until you see it in the flesh, I have lusted after a few models only to find I was seriously underwhelmed when receiving them while others have been a huge positive surprise, but thats just the way it goes sometimes.

The more I look at it the more it grows on me. Seemingly this is a rare model without the dynamic or de ville name on the dial. Doing a bit of research I am finding it difficult to find many around. Thanks.

Understood that rare does not equal real value. Thanks for the link. Interesting reading. I think I am going to keep it just as it is. There is a little wear on the dial where the hands rotate but otherwise it looks nearly new with full size bracelet.

Yeah I picked one up for like 360.has the original band but a little problem with the connection. It might be an easy fix but if not I may switch to the metal bracelet. IMO hold unless you really just don’t like it. I’ve read the vintage dynamics are just coming into there own. I’m not planning on selling it as I really like the unique Look of i it buy it you
Are into interested in only in flipping prob not a good choice probably

That’s a funky 70s watch for sure. I like the look of it with the chunky case and minimalist black dial, just not sure about the second hand as it looks out of place when compared to the other hands.
