Good morning, Forum! We are having a little problem with a vintage Dynamic recently purchased. The bracelet is too big for my svelte wrists and taking it in somewhere for an adjustment is problematic.

The one that is causing trouble has screws instead of pins. Would any of you know what size those screws might be so that I can buy the proper driver to get them out?

I have four of these bracelets and now I’m suspicious that three have pins and one has screws. The one with screws is 1153/138 and strangely one without has the same reference number.

Uh oh? Is that even possible?

Are you sure they are screws and not split-ended pins? I think what you are seeing is the "spring" split that wedges the pin in tight. Try tapping the other end out.

Some have screws, some have pins, depends on when they were made, screws are earlier.

Thank you very much - very helpful photos. I've forwarded this to my significant other who is the budding watchmaker in the family! I'm just the consumer!

Your response is very encouraging! This way I know that there's a good chance that I don't have a knock-off bracelet then.

So, knowing that these could be screws, would you have any idea what size they might be? Reading another post in here, folks were extolling how amazing it is when you have the screwdriver that exactly fits the screw to be removed! I'd like us to have that same exhilaration and not an afternoon of frustration and #@!%#@!

Why don´t you meassure the length of the slot with a caliper? So you will know the length of the blade - the width goes commensurate...

No caliper on hand and it’s tiny for these old eyes...

Just hoping someone here has unscrewed these little devils before and can advise.

Not the same bracelet but I believe the screws are of similar size, 1.4mm screwdriver works well.

Thank you for the tip! Based on what I read in the other post, I was going to gamble that 1.4 was correct. Now I feel much more confident in pulling the trigger!
    Thanks again!
