Look at the pushers.... I would not even shower with it.
I'm no watchmaker but if a chronograph case is specified to 20ATM I would assume the pushers are sealed as well, at least it was when the watch was new and I would assume you can restore that resistance with a service and correct parts.

Also maybe this discussion would be in a different thread, sorry for that!

My advice would be to wait a little longer and to add a little to you 1000 and i think at 1200-1500 you can hope for an auction on ebay for an Omega Seamaster diver (preferable automatic but 100% you will get a quartz)..

No, there's no Omega diver that I would consider truly vintage for 1k any more. Double the budget, and you might be able to find a decent Seamaster 120 with some patience.

Have not kept up with the prices of these lately, but a quick review of sold Ebay listings finds a lot sold under a thousand pounds. Looks like the prices of these have dropped considerably in the last few years. So, I'll agree with you here.

I'd still get a modern diver over this one, though. Never really found it attractive.

This was what I'd been considering before posting. Any thoughts on these?
No scope for bracelet changes because of the particular fixing to the watch body- is that right?
