Hi everyone, am new to this forum. I would like to know the authenticity and value of Omega Deville cal 1378 with emerald dial. The watch looks very beautiful and attractive. Please help me to clarify my thoughts. Am attaching some photos.

You need to chill ASAP!

Asking politely and with patience will get you a whole lot further in here.

Dirty and abused movement shows signs of a battery leak and possibly a cut to the coil that looks to have been repaired.

I wouldn't touch it.

It is a watch lovers forum - where enthusiast share knowledge, discuss watches and help new collectors get started.

It isn't a free advice forum for people who want instant answers without doing any research or work of their own.

Noone needs free advice. If you have something to comment regarding the thread you may. Noone is forcing anyone. And again if you want to preach something its upto you.
Thankyou all for very polite and warm response.

Then i wouldnt have reached here.

Asking others to do the research for you, is not actually doing research. Many new posters here seem to not understand that distinction.

You can choose to just ask us to do the work for you, and you can even demand answers ASAP, but don't be surprised if we just ignore your requests then...

Which I had. By telling a spoiled new user that he had to chill.
When you act extremely impatient and entitled, people rarely will rarely respond with "polite and warm response", which you apparently expected us to do.

Yeah, probably not. It is not a clearinghouse for information-on-demand for fly-by Internet users. It is a forum of watch collectors who focus on Omega watches. And many collectors here have spent decades building their knowledge base, which they freely share with other forum members (such as me) who are very new to this but trying to learn.
