Hi all... So i'm considering purchasing an Omega De Ville - this will be my first Omega timepiece and I need any and all advice regarding the watch. I've attached pics - most clear I could get. What I know about this watch (some of this info is based on what the seller says) -It's pre-owned -Seller says it's ±50 years old -the back case has the number 53698527 engraved on the back casing -the De Ville on the face is not all capital letters -it does keep time and is not a quartz -it looks to be in a decent condition and this can be better for negotiating based on the advice i receive -there are no papers or box Seller wants $260 / £200 I am waiting for a video of the movement of the watch - will post as soon as possible The questions i have about this: -Is this watch worth the price? -Is this watch authentic as I can't find any pics of the exact kind anywhere If anything else does come up, I will add to this post. The watch dates to 1991, not exactly 50 years old. Another Quartz watch. Little value on these. Perhaps if you tell us what your looking for and budget we can point you in the correct direction.
