I really like 2 register chronos. But I find the size of the Roman numerals just far too big. If they were simply hour markers (likethe old cal 320 watches) then I would really like them

To me the de ville line has always been the one with the dressier options from omega. The chronograph and similar casing and chrono pushers make it too similar to the speedy. Too sporty for me.

For me, it wasn't the current or future value of the watch. I just loved it, so I got it. This was my first Omega as well. Now I own 4.

That's the thing - nobody can speak to value in the future. Sometimes popular watches go through the roof, even though there are a glut of them available (Speedmaster). Other times unpopular watches jump in price 30 or 40 years down the road. Even though nobody liked them during their production run, there are so few around that they spark bidding wars on eBay. Could be the reverse for either case too - a watch is so ubiquitous it's value is nil, or that ugly duckling never grew into a swan.

If anyone can see the future, please PM me which watch will soar in value. I'll put away my Magic 8 Ball and go with your predictions.

Which is exactly why I buy what I like. It's for me right now and a bonus if it's worth something to my kids and grand kids.

In 2047 the De Ville Chronograph will be worth $28,456. You can take that to the bank:rolleyes:

My favorite deville is still the one with the armadillo bracelet. Anyone got one?

Hour visions & chronos of De Ville line are very beautiful but a bit on a large side. I reckon this line was primarily designated as dress watch line, which would not work with big & thick models.

The only ones that work for me are Prestige (with or without power reserve) and Tresor.

If you want a two register De Ville this one is nice - small & thin (but not chrono), actually mine is for sale, if interested (I will be getting the Tresor).

Gift from my house-commando :) Like them too a lot.

Apparently there are many available online, you can even get ones with moving balance wheel :D - that I call really sick ;)
