The crown is slightly visible here. Unfortunatelly no images from the mechanism... 947_93124321.jpg

FYI - I believe this model is slightly smaller in size (~33.5mm without the crown) than the standard SM or De Ville models. You may want to ask the seller to confirm the size if you are not able to view the watch in person.

Here are hints that a n00b should remember:

    1) Virtually all watch manufacturers, with very few exceptions, promote the fact that a watch is self winding with the word "AUTOMATIC" or "Self Winding" (or some variation according to brand) right on the dial.

If the watch is an automatic self-winding movement but does NOT say it is on the dial, it's probably not in factory original shape with all the original pieces. It's probably put together from parts that fit, but weren't meant to go together..... what we call a frankenwatch or marriage watch.

    2) The reference (model) number is right on the back of this particular watch: 136.019, which you can Google for more images to compare to.

    3) If you're asking for help identifying & authenticating a watch, pictures of the insides (movement and inside of the caseback) are usually necessary.

What am I missing here? This reference has a cal 613, which is hand-winding. I posted a link to the OVD entry.

Exactly - it doesn't have an automatic inside, and therefore does not have AUTOMATIC on the dial.

Thank you all for your input. This is not an automatic system. I want it since it brings me back to my childhood- and it is omega. In old times I could not even think that one day I will have something like that...
    Best, Paul
