    Hi guys, I'm thinking about purchasing this omega de ville. From what I know it's from the 60s and has a cal 565 ref 166 033. I don't have a picture of the movement yet but can you guys have a look at the dial and case and tell me what you think. Sellers asking roughly 400usd for it.

    No, No, No. Did you look at the enlarged photos? It looks like the back was attacked with a chisel.

    Oh wow I didn't even notice it till now looks like someone's tried to take the back off very hard even though it's a front loading movement. Thanks for pointing that out

    Just normal wear from many years of use, sweat can be very caustic to plated cases like this.

    With sweat that corrosive, there isn't a prison that could've held the original owner.
