Pictured is my late grandpa's Omega De Ville Automatic - my main reason for posting is to find out if it is possible to source a replacement bezel for the watch, and where would be the best place to find one, with a view to fixing the watch and wearing it myself. The watch itself is in full working order and keeps great time.

I have no idea if it is genuine, I have no knowledge of watches really, and I wouldn't be particularly surprised if it isn't. If it is genuine I can't imagine that it would have been a very expensive model. I assume that it would have been purchased in either the 60s or 70s but that would be a guess.

I have taken the following pictures, apologies for the quality but the lighting where I am is causing problems for my camera. I have been unable to remove the case back as it doesn't appear to have one.

As I said, sourcing a replacement bezel and using the watch is my goal. Any other info you can provide such as to its authenticity, would be much appreciated.

    Thanks and regards, David.

It's definitely authentic and the case is in excellent shape, very sharp. The dial appears to be in nice original condition as well. Not sure what the metal composition is as I can't see any hallmarks in the pictures. Look between the lugs, there may be an indication there. If not, it will be on the inside caseback. You'll have to have a watchmaker open it up so you can determine what reference it is and what caliber movement it contains. You'll need to get it serviced if you intend to wear it anyway. A replacement bezel may or may not be available still from Omega. When you find out the pertinent data as outlined above perhaps @Archer, our resident horologist extraordinaire, can advise whether this is the case. Otherwise, it would be a matter of trying to source one on eBay. Good luck with everything. Cheers.

    Thanks for your help Gordon.
I have just received the watch back form the watchmaker. They advised that unfortunately, replacement bezels are no longer available from Omega. I would be glad to hear differently though from someone else! From the looks of things I could be waiting quite some time to find one on eBay.
The additional information I was given was: Model 1665161 1061; Movement No. 1012 36192648. Manufactured between 1975 and 1984.
