really wanna know things about this watch. I think it's gold plated but I've honestly never seen a watch like this which makes me sad 'cause I can't find anything about it. Someone help please! Thanks!
Looks totally legit to me. Omega made a lot of watches like this in the Swingin' 70's. Here are some, but your exact model is not shown: http://www.mediafire.com/view/f2wh1...ins_of_the_Sixties_and_Seventies_June2013.pdf Omega made hundreds of models per year at that time, so identification of models is very difficult. Take it to a watchmaker and take pictures of the inside of the case and the movement and maybe we can give you more information. Don't be surprised if it's solid gold! Hallmarks are usually on the inside. gatorcpa
Don't be afraid to get the watch a little closer to the camera. You need to use the "macro" feature. This is usually a small flower symbol on the camera or smartphone. gatorcpa PS - I can make out enough of the writing to see that it is gold plated, not solid gold.
Caliber 625. If you can give us the tiny numbers in this little circle we should be able to give you the manufacture date.
Serial number 37926326, date this to ca 1973. The case/bracelet is 20 microns gold plate with a stainless steel back. Unfortunately these have very little value.
Jackpot! Here it is: Ref. 511.0379 http://www.omegawatches.com/spirit/history/vintage-omegas/vintage-watches-database?ref=14986 The band is likely original to the watch, although the modification may have been done in the USA after importation. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
X350 XJR just looked at the clasp and it does say 40%. Would you know approx. how much this would be worth?
40% could mean 10K gold (actually 10/24, or 41.67%), or it could be 40 micron gold plate which would be similar to the case. Can't tell from the picture. gatorcpa
Its style is its biggest drawback, these watches aren't really work anymore due to them being very 70s-80s looking
You would need to have a jeweler test the bracelet to see if it is actually gold, the value will be for the scrap weight of the bracelet.
