I received the watch today with a note from the seller, who says that I have to wear the watch 24 hrs in order for the watch to adjust ! Is that right? Please see the picture attached... Also the winder is so tight, I can only turn it 2 times! It has been in transit for 2 days, so the winder should be loose to turn for 30-40 turns. Am I correct? I am new to vintage watch and is learning, so somebody please give advices. Thank you in advance. -Dennis
You should be able to wind it until your fingers bleed. The mainspring should slip when it reaches full wind, if it doesn't something is wrong. Can you set the time properly? Is it keeping time?
Yes I can set the time and look like it run slow! If I let it run (hope so!) overnight, then tomorrow the spring should release and winder should be loose to turn 30-40 turns. Right? I will update this later....
Also, when I pull the crown out to set time position, the second hand is still moving! Is that right or not???
Update.!...and it's not keep time. It's stop running at 11:00 pm and the crown is too hard to turn. I can not turn it using my fingers not even one turn! My constellation is still running and the crown is turnable so easy. It's definitely something is wrong with this watch! Any idea? -Dennis
