Omega De Ville Automatic

Hi there from a new member.
I bought this De Ville in September 1972 as a wedding present for my wife in the Omega store in Geneva Airport.
One night I let slip around how much I paid for it and she has not worn it since. She has asked me to sell it and I have shown it to a couple dealers where I live. They both said the same, it's too old and not in their style.
Is there someone there who could give me some more information about this watch and possibly who might want to buy it, there is now obviously no box or paperwork.
Many thanks jaybee2

I'm curious as to why she won't wear it anymore. Is it due to how much you paid? She seems to have worn it quite a bit and put a lot of wear on it, so to stop wearing it now is a bit odd

Stick it in a drawer. 70's models are not the most popular and even less so in womens models

In that condition. You would be lucky to get $50.00 if that

From the look of it, she wore it a lot before it was put into a drawer. Might it be that the watch quit, and that was the other reason she quit wearing it? There is a question that is bigger than what it might sell for, and that is one you have asked..........who would want it? Best of luck. Maybe stick it on eBay with no reserve, and you’ll have an idea what the market feels it is worth. But before you do that, check to see if the case is solid karat gold.

In two years you'll be celebrating your 50TH, quite an accomplishment in this day and age. Ladies watches don't hold their value too well. Since the watch looks like it has seen some use, and it was a wedding present, why not get it serviced and give it to her on your anniversary??? If she doesn't have any attachment to the watch (That would puzzle me) give it to one of your children or relative.
