My opinion? Not vintage, not collectible, not appealing. Just a small, uninteresting quartz watch. Might as well go to Macy's, buy a gold-plated fashion watch, and save some money.

It’s overpriced, from the time period nobody really wants, quartz, contains very little actual gold. Just not an interesting option IMO.

Nearly AUD$2000 😬.

For all the reasons above, I'd suggest spending your money elsewhere.

Lots of earlier mechanical Seamasters, Constellations etc that are much nicer and more interesting - and not necessarily very expensive

Hey! Thanks for responding, I’m glad I asked. I will stick to photos for now on, no links anymore!

thank you @impaw! Which model and year do you recommend looking at? I feel like many of the times I come across those, they are far out of my budget. I’m thinking under 2k as my first vintage gold watch is a good start for me 😀

You should be able to find a nice 60’s DeVille for under 2k US

Agree, but with the current price of gold, it will take some hunting, and maybe following auctions.

Sorry for the late reply!
So many nice models from the 50´s and 60´s
As DavidT suggests, perhaps a 60´s Deville! Lovely things
A lot of them will exceed your budget, but it is possible to get one under 2k I think
