I have this beautiful de ville 1336 and want to know what battery to replace it with?

That 3 digit number on the battery is what you’re Looking for just do a quick google and you’ll find a replacement, I believe it’s 391

Little bit of advice if your wanting to change the battery yourself be very careful of the coil circled in green it’s very delicate. And don’t undo the screws all the way as they are fiddly to reinstall loosen the left one and then the right a little the battery bracket is on a clip on the right hand side and will just unclip from the right screw and you can swivel out of the way to install the new one. Don’t force this brass retaining either also delicate.

And replace it with a good brand battery not some cheap Chinese ones.

They will leak and destroy the watch.

381 and 391 are both silver oxide batteries with the identical dimensions and voltage, both SR1120.

Dunno why they give 2 different battery numbers to similar batteries. Either one will work fine.

Matter of fact I have seen some (Chinese) batteries with both numbers listed on the package.

Have fun replacing and don’t lose the little screws.
