What are your opinions? I think these are magnificent and I just got a Vintage with leather strap. cant take it off
What do you mean by "vintage"? They aren't around for THAT long after all, movements are still within warranty on all of them (had to remind Omega of that putting mine into service last week ). Edit: Should write faster next time...
Have a "standard" dsotm which is with Omega atm (rotor rotating while wound manually). Will post an image once back. Grey Side is a real beauty, especially in bright sunlight...
Actually, I think we all forgot about his... I vote to see more of this... Any one else object to a thread hijack?
Great photos @jcmartinez98. That's My favourite DSOTM ! I believe the Vintage Black is a Vintage Chic marketed as an alternative , modern contemporary reintepretation of its Ancestors since the "Vintage Revival " is all the Rage now. The V B despite its Vintage Vibes is neither a Vintage Tribute nor trying to disguise itself as One. Why on Earth would Omega want to insult the intelligence of the Consumers ? Oh No.... @Superdoc !!! You are not hijacking this thread !
I purchased my DSOTM a couple of months ago. Always wanted one and was wishy washy about the ceramic look and feel on the wrist. I never expected my feelings to be as they are now. I absolutely love it and find it striking and comfortable. The insane thing is that it still looks the same as the first day I purchased it. I know plenty of people like or dislike it but it really is one of those watches you can't fully appreciate until you own one.
Its an amazing watch. I just didn't like the Cordora strap and tang buckle so I added the pitch black strap and deployment and could not have been happier. Most comfortable watch I've ever worn.
It's different, I like them. Tired the ceramic Speedies on a few times but they're just a bit big for me.
I tried them on at the AD, just don't like the way it sits on my wrist, the case back is too thick and makes the watch sit high, just a very weird feeling....it doesn't conform to the wrist at all. Having said that, the dial & bezel are gorgeous.
I've had mine for about five months now. Still don't regret the purchase, which is something I can't say about the watch I got before the DSOTM. My main advice to new buyers is to make sure you buy the version with the titanium foldover clasp. It is worth it. Also, it is big indeed, but I still find it quite discrete due to the color. It's definitely a model that doesn't hit you in the face visually regardless of size.
