    Hi everyone,
I am a new member and last night I made a thread asking help, in order to find a generic crystal or even original for omega case 162.009 sp, (from what I found in omega site, fits 562 565 movement.)
JimInOz, helped me a lot by redirecting ( and also gave me the part number) me to cousins, which unfortunately informed me today they don't have in stock any crystal fitting my case and boley (I can not contact since I am an apprentice and not a IMG_20211015_130502.jpg professional watchmaker.)
After researching I found that a generic crystal of 30.6 mm would fit perfectly in my case. I would like to know if this is true since I don't want to order a wrong size crystal.
    Gratefully

Best solution I guess is to get in touch with some watchmaker who has an Omega spare parts account and is willing to sell this crystal to you.

I live in the island of Crete and I tried to get some help with an omega seamaster 1010 and I came to the conclusion the watchmaker was not very honest. There is another one probably I will give it a go. I just wanted to know if 30.6 mm is the correct size, but anyway thanks for the reply. Have a nice day buddy

Size is not the only information you need about an aftermarket non-original crystal.
I dont know those information and if you dont have some experience replacing crystals I suggest to go with the original one.

Thanks for the info as well.

By the way, do you know if this plexi have any tension ring, or it's just press fit?
