    Hi,

I am still a noob in vintage omega watches and this forum.

I came across one vintage omega cosmic, selling at US$212. Can any learned ones here advise me on the authenticity of this Manual winding watch?

    Welcome to the Forum!

Yes its quite genuine, with a nice movement, unfortunately the case is very worn.

I would wait and find one with a nicer case, even at that price.

Watch is genuine. However repairing the damage to the work plating will cost more than buying and example in good condition. As suggested - keep looking for a better example.

Thanks guys. I was indeed contemplating to buy the watch due to its worn-off gold plating.

I'm a big admirer of the style, but my pick would be a stainless cased cal. 563/565 automatic with a date.
Sadly those aren't waiting on the shelf for buyers to come along...and when you find one it will likely be twice as much or more...
