I like how you spelled constellation in the thread title. I pronounce it like that after 5 beers (Canadian beers)

welcome to the forum, a sensible reply will no doubt follow soon

Watch looks OK, buckle is fake.
Thank you,
Thank you, I have another buckle, does it match the watch? It is genuine?

This style buckle was often seen on Omega Dynamics.

I think you did ok on the watch.
The case is a little soft but you can still see the facets on the lugs.
The dials of this era often show bubbling in the lacquer as your’s does but generally you can’t see it when worn on the wrist.
The crown is one of the options for a correct replacement crown.

an interesting point about this reference with those particular hands is that you have onyx inserts in the indices and lume on the dial.

these watches wear very nicely on the wrist and look good for business or leisure.

Nice first pick... I do like the symmetry and "simplicity" of those models. As said, below it wears sophisticated 😀

Would you know why the bubbling specific to this era? Did they use a different lacquer for some years? Muy interesting, for my personal knowledge 😀

I’m guessing it’s down to whoever made the dials for Omega at that time - and yes, their lacquer composition.

Hi, Peemacgee
I had to use the magnifying glass to see the bubbles on the dial, they look even and cover the entire dial. Your watch is like mine.
Thank you very much!!

Did you know about the dial bubbling before you paid for the watch? I feel slightly differently about it and really wouldn't pay anything like that due to the dial issue. I see there is tape over the medallion, but are there also one or two deepish scratches under there too?

No, the lid is fine, it's the stain on the tape, I want to protect the stars.
I'm using it everyday, that bubble doesn't matter to me, because it's so small to see, it's a sign of the times, I like those bubbles, I like the uniqueness.

No need for tape, they have lasted 50 years. Enjoy your watch without the tape. There is no need as your not going to wear it everyday for the next 20 years.

1) Look ok to me
2) Nah, this model is less popular than the more Pie Pan versions. I think you paid around the markedprice for it. Some will pay less because of the bubbles on the dial, others don't care 😀
3) Typical fake buckle

I think you paid a fair price. Not bad at all if this is your first purchase of a vintage Connie.
