    Hi,

I have an Omega 504 that belonged to my grandfather, I'm not sure if it's real because it doesn't have the symbol on the back.
    Can someone help me?

    Thanks!!

Based on that single picture, it looks legit, but we would need to see more photos to be sure.

The gold capped constellations had the medallion as a solid gold insert on the caseback, so it could have been removed at some point. There are replacement casebacks that appear on eBay, so you could hunt for one there. The model number is on the inside of the caseback.

Ok, just seen the exta photos you have uploaded ::confused::
Definitely authentic. Movement needs a service. Caseback....
Weird. Definitely original, and solid gold, so the medallion was not an insert, but part of a single solid gold piece. Maybe it was polished off??????

It looks to me like a real watch that has lived a very long and hard life, its got markings indicating its been serviced a few times too.

Looks almost as if the case back has been polished so hard that the gold has worn right through and then been repaired. it is possibly a replacement as there are no Constellation reference numbers visible and I would expect to see 2943/54

Looks like a Constellation dial/hands/movement that was transplanted into a non-Constellation case, or at least a different caseback.

And the case is missing a bezel.
Keep as is for sentimental reasons. Expensive to restore and in the condition it is in it is unlikely to be of interest to the vintage watch collector.

Thank you all for your answers, i really appreciate it!

I've cleaned the case and these are the results:
do any of you know were can i take it to get it fixed? and will the missing bezel be expensive and hard to find?

    Thanks a lot!

The parts that are missing are impossible to find - the bezel and the caseback - I have never seen these for sale in solid gold. The bezel you could have fabricated by an expert jeweler in solid gold at high cost but with the caseback you are out of luck. Also, one of the dial markers and the constellation star have fallen off and the movement is in poor condition. The value of this watch as it stands is gold melt value since what remains of the case appears to be overpolished.

That case back may be the wrong one but you don't need to change it because it has its sentimental value from your grandpa, you don't need to find the bezel either. Only thing you should do is give it a good service .
If you change the case back, put a new bezel on , it becomes another watch, not the one from your grandpa anymore.
