Okay, here she be, next up from the amazing watch collector estate I got into last week! This is another one he bought brand new, an Omega Constellation 168.016 with the cal 751 movement.

This thing is incredible to find from the original owner! He told me he remembers buying it on a trip to Austria, which tracks given the cool German day wheel. Some pics of this beaut in the bright California sun:

As you can see, there's some wear to the crystal. It will definitely polish out (happy to do that before sending) and not as noticeable out of the sun. Wanted to keep it as found - as you can see, it's the original crystal with the Omega logo in the center (also look at the sweet brushing on the bezel in this macro shot!)

The original owner said he really doesn't remember wearing it at all and thinks any wear is from storage over the decades. Which on one hand tracks, because look at this crisp, untouched original strap! Also original buckle:

But on the other hand, the case back looks like it was worn and had some skin rub, as seen on the stars. Still very nice:

Because I'm a purest and would love to see this original strap preserved (notice when I took the wrist shot I didn't fasten it to keep it crisp) I will include an unworn genuine alligator strap in dark brown that I picked up from the estate as well, and I think would compliment the case nicely:

No original box on this one, it was lost to time, but I will include this vintage case that came with it (has some wear but will be good for shipping)

The 751 movement is running really well. Winds beautifully, keeping great time so far, and the day and date change perfectly! (So far I’m clocking within about 8 seconds a day!) But as with the LeCoultre I sold from this estate, the owner doesn't remember ever having this serviced, especially since he doesn't remember wearing it. EDIT: As a forum member pointed out, there appears to be at least one service mark inside the caseback and a changed rotor, so it has been serviced at some point. As always, with vintage, I would suggest a fresh service if it's to be worn regularly.

Again, he took some... not great movement pics, which I'm attaching here to at least show the movement and inside case back. Happy to take it to a watchmaker for some better pics if requested:

Tricky to price as well, being a one owner piece, with all the fixings, but I'm thinking $1250 covers me and allows someone to get into a great Connie at a reasonable price. That will include fully insured shipping anywhere in the US. International shipping to be discussed.

Payment via Paypal F&F, Wise, or Venmo.

No returns unless misrepresented. And it won't be. I have a lot of great feedback here to prove that.

Thanks for looking at this one owner beaut! And as always, thanks to OF for the space!

Original owner's memory might be unreliable. The big O service rotor and graffiti inside the case back tell me this has been serviced at least once.

Lovely piece, glws!

That’s pretty common. My
Stepfather’s 1968 14k UG had service marks and he never remembered having it serviced…but he apparently did.

Thanks! And that’s very possible re: his memory, the guy is more than twice my age and I can’t remember what I had for breakfast yesterday!

Thanks for spotting the service mark, I will update the listing. Although I will stick with service unknown, since I imagine it’s been some time. But it does feel great, winds and sets beautifully, and so far keeping time within about eight seconds a day!

It's not just a service mark. It is the changed rotor that points to a lot of wear and the replacement.

Added that into the edit in the listing, thanks.
