It’s an excellent grab for that money. It’s going to be fine for occasional wear as is but, if you want to wear it regularly, getting a local watchmaker to give it a look over and service will ensure you can wear it every day without fear, and it will be a shrewd investment in the longevity of the watch.
Good timekeeping is not a guarantee that all is well inside and the watchmaker can also send you photos of the movement and the serial, so you can roughly ascertain its age. As
@Rado63 said, these were designed by Genta and released by Omega in 1964. They go through until the early 1970s.
I love my C case and it is very accurate. These are often seen on brick style bracelets and I don’t think yours is original, as you say. If it were mine, I’d be tempted to put a rugged/distressed leather strap on it, or a soft suede - just to bring out the patina.
