Edit: relisted 4th May 2023

For sale is a circa 1967 (serial 25 million) 168.005 ref Constellation in steel with a pie pan dial. The dial features onyx indices all round including the marker at 3 o clock, and it is a cal 564. The watch is just serviced. I am selling as I have decided I’d prefer a crosshair dial one - so I am also potentially open to trades.

Overall it is a nice piece, and whilst it is not perfect, I find it to be in that place where it’s a lovely original watch but that one wouldn’t feel too guilty wearing it daily (it’s not a museum piece). Accompanied by a fresh service and a year’s warranty, it’s a solid watch.

Case: showing some signs of wear but reasonably sharp and apparently unpolished - all lug facets are visible

Crown: Omega signed thin decagonal crown

Crystal: generic Sternkreuz - original was scratched.

Dial: when viewed face on, the dial is very clean, and indeed in practice when wearing. It has taken on a subtly warm tone. From certain angles there are some small spots, but these are hardly visible when wearing. I have included a darker low contrast photo which shows this - however, as you’ll see, the photo is artificially darkened and so is not representative of real life; indeed it is deliberately unflattering but I include it so there’s no surprises. The loupe photos show the dial face on in natural light, and how it is in very nice condition.

Movement: cal 564 freshly serviced by Watch Guy with a year’s warranty. When it came in it needed a service, but is now running well and keeping very good time. After a few days on the autowinder the amplitude was around 250.

Owing to the condition of the case, and the fact that the dial really is in good condition (apart minor spotting when viewed from certain angles) and the watch is just serviced with a year’s warranty, I’m looking to break even and am asking £1550 GBP head only including fully insured and tracked post within the UK (or a £15 contribution to postage anywhere else).
