    hello,

a college of mine offered me following watch. he claims that its a special grand de luxe produced only 10 times. he asks for 5 k euro.

he says that the watch has no ref. number because it was prodcued in switzerland only.

is this for real or a joke?

While neither are pristine, the case back appears more worn then the case.

    FAKE.

Seen a couple of these over the years all with a story.

18K case should have brickwork on the observatory and no perlage on the inside.

Agreed - may actually be one of ten but all of them are fake.

Later 18k constellations do not have the brick work, but then they do not have pie-pan dial either.

A "C" case or something much later yes, but not something which purports to be of this vintage.

If the guy trying to dump it on you with the story is a mate, I'd take him off my christmas card list. If he was just trying to sell a watch he didn't know anything about that's one thing, manufacturing a bogus back story about its scarcity is a different thing entirely.

Page 17 has one that is exactly the same as OP's watch except the OP's watch "improves" a bit by not having ref. number 091919 on the case back. :whipped:
