Hello forum!

I would be glad to get your opinion about this Constellation 2852.
Everything good or is a redial? How much would you spend for it?

Thank you a lot for your valuable opinions!

Start with the case, it's pretty poor especially that poor medallion. The crown is incorrect. I would stop there.
The dial fonts don't have any serif that i can see and the cross hairs look heavy. It may be original, so i defer to others. I can see that the finish is not in very good condition.
So 3 strikes for sure, and it's out for me.

I seen this earlier, too pricey from what I seen based on its condition. Looks heavily polished, especially on the back. I would avoid personally

You might wanna look closer then - this is an original black pie pan dial.

Yes, the case is heavily polished, hardly any definition left on the bezel, medallion etc. And yes, the crown is incorrect.

But it also ended at <1k GBP. Personally, I'm happy about everybody who is put off by something like an incorrect crown. The case is a bigger issue, but really, 2852s aren't particularly uncommon watches. Add 300-350GBP for a nice spare steel case or a little less for a gold-capped example and you got yourself a pretty cool, original black pie pan dial Connie for quite the price, especially in the UK-market. If you like the patina, that is. I do.

I'm aware this would all require some effort so I get everyone who says it's not for them. But whoever won this certainly didn't get a bad deal.

Oh, and by the way: The seller is a long-standing member here and a great guy, so I'd be shocked if there were any bad surprises for the new owner.
