Omega Constellation Ref. 168018 / Missing "Bezel" ?

Hi guys,

I came across this wonderfully preserved Omega Constellation Ref. 168018, cal. 564 with that beautiful sunburst dial and (I guess) onyx index-inlays (or paint, not so sure, since the "black thing" looks applied on top of the indexes and not inserted) and matching dauphine hands.

However, something seems odd about the watch...to me it seems, as if some sort of "bezel" is missing around the crystal?

Thank you very much in advance for your help, I do always appreciate it! Have a lovely week 😀

Nice watch, sharp lugs, clean dial. To your question, I wonder if it is rather a light play on the pictures not fully showing it rather than a missing one.

Maybe you can ask for pictures under natural light or a small video to better see it

Thank you very much @LesXL and @jeppe888. I will definitely request more pictures. But do you know if there is such a thing as a removable bezel on an Omega Constellation Ref. 168018 that could be missing?

@Passover Thank you for the clue! Now it makes sense I think, because look at the picture (marked red) below, the lugs lap over the bezel and do not fit the case smoothly. Such a shame :/ I guess you proved me right! Thanks a lot 😀

If anyone has a fitting bezel or has access to one and/or is just interested in the watch, you can pm me and I will send you a link to the auction (I'm not the seller of the watch nor am I affiliated with the seller nor do I profit in any way if the watch gets sold or not). I have just confronted the seller with the missing bezel-fact and he will declare it in the auction. Therefore, I think, if you have a fitting bezel or have access to one, you could get this watch probably for a reasonable price (it's an auction, so I can't tell you for sure). I hope I do not violate any forum rules by offering this, I just think for the right member here this could become a good deal 😀

Just sold a rough case with a decent bezel for peanuts, kick kick kick

Ah that sucks! But the seller has still not pointed it out in the description.....maybe that watch sells for a (too) high price anyways.
