    Hi OF,

I bought this Constellation locally from the original owner's son. He was gifted this watch in the 70's from his dad. It was worn fairly consistently till the son was gifted a Citizen Eco-Drive ("Who the ::censored:: needs a watch that loses time and needs to be serviced every couple of years?"). I'm selling it because I can't justify another Connie in the heard at the moment.

It is a 1969 Constellation with a 564 Caliber with quick-set date feature (if you pull the crown out all the way it changes the date by 1). This is a pretty handy feature to have to include this watch into a rotation, where your fingers won't suffer from having to toggle the watch back and forth from 9-12.

Case: I suspect the case has not been polished and has age-consistent wear. The facets on the lugs are really sharp. The factory applied brushing can be seen on the lugs. It has an Omega Signed crown which looks period correct. The observatory on the back is clear. There are some marks from failed caseback openings.

Dial & Hands: The dial is in pretty decent condition. The dial has a silvered finish to it, is all original, and Turler signed. The dial has an indentation at the 57 minute marker which is harder to make out in pictures but can be seen a bit more clearly in the flesh. It has another feint indentation at the 19 minute marker and a light scratch by the 24 minute marker. The lume is all still present and glows under UV and then fades after a second or two. The replacement crystal has a hairline crack by the 9 o'clock marker. The hands are in great condition.

Movement: The watch is in running condition but has not been serviced in many years according to the previous owner. The watch seems to be running slow. Therefore, a service is recommended before regular use.

I'm pricing this one at $600 shipped CONUS (international shipping at cost). This is less than half the listed price of the last one sold here on OF (which, granted, was in near-mint condition.) I think this is a good opportunity to get a Connie at an entry level price. Watch is being sold head only and is located in US. I won't take returns unless the watch is grossly mis-described.

    Thanks,
    Ben

First Ben vacuums the market for great Omega and then he ruins the value of our collections by selling them cheap... Thanks Ben, you're a real friend ::facepalm2::::facepalm2::
