·Hi guys,
I've relunctantly decided to part with this nice Omega Omega Constellation Chronometer C-1961 (ref. #14381 11 SC) with a desirable gold capped case and an original finish ”Pie Pan" dial. Based on the serial number, it was made in 1960.
The bezel is solid gold. The rest of the case is stainless steel with gold capped lugs. The case measures 34.3mm across without the crown, and 43.5mm from lug tip to lug tip.
The caseback features the trademark gold Observatory medallion. And it comes with a signed gold Omega crown.
IMHO the pie pan dial is just stunning as it developed a great patina. Also features perfect applied gold faceted hour markers with matching Dauphine style hands, applied Omega logo, and an applied gold Constellation star - all original.
The movement it's the high grade 24-jewel automatic certified chronometer caliber 551 movement marked adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. I've had the watch fully serviced somewhere in 2015, it works and also looks very good - service papers will be provided.
