I recently bought this nice Omega Constellation Piepan in 18c solid gold. I would like to get some opinion on the dial. It does not look like a redail to me but what do you guys think? The dial is in a very good condition and this makes me curious to whether it is original dial or a redail. Usually these old Constellations have abit patina on the dial but this one is in almost minty condition. The crystal is not original Omega and the crown is original Omega crown but not original for this specific model.

Looks great and correct for the reference. I've had several Constellations with equally good dials

Gold watches often survive in excellent condition because many people only brought them out for "best" wear, took care not to bump them or get them wet, and put them carefully away after the wedding, funeral, dinner, play, or whatever.

Thanks for all the answers! Makes me more confident to hear all the opinions! What is the best advice in keeping the dial in this minty condition? I guess the answer is not to wear the watch at all then it will stay in this condition but i want to use the watch. Not as a everyday watch but want to put it on my arm once a week or so . Will regular service help keeping the watch dial in good condition? I see there are dirt leftovers around the edges of the crystal, i can with a wet cloth clean this up.

The reason i ask this is that many Omega vintage watches i have seen have patina on the dial and i would like to do my best to keep my watch dial in its current condition

Just make sure the seals have been renewed.
If the crown has been replaced recently it should be okay if it has a waterproof seal.
I would personally pay to have an omega crystal put on it as the after market ones don’t always fit as they should.
    - and don’t get too sweaty wearing it.

As others had said, you've got a great catch there.
    As to your dial question:
Just don't wear it swimming, working on the car, hunting, camping or sumo wrestling

Keep it away from water and humid environments as much as is practical. Keep it away from excessive tobacco smoke.
