They were holding this piece for 24 hours for £1,500, original price £1,750. As users here had raised it, I emailed yesterday to ask if the rotor had been replaced and if the rotor rub issue had been resolved by service. I even called the dealer today but he was not available and still did not respond to my email.
Then immediately after this 24 hour window shut, he finally emailed to say that the price is no longer valid and gave two non-answers to the questions. But he did said I'm welcome to purchase at £1,750.
The kicker being he ended his email "No hard feelings - vintage buying isn’t for everyone, and it’s important you’re comfortable with any purchase.".
Glad I've dodged that bullet not dealing with someone in bad faith, it's clear he never wanted to honour the price. Anyway, plenty more Connies in the sea 🐟
