This is my first post, so apologies in advance for any mistakes! I have just purchased an Omega Constellation pie pan with arrow markers in 18k gold. My question to you guys is about the dial. Where you would normally see the constellation text there is the word automatic in the same font that is normally used for the Costellation name, is this correct? Everything else seems in order ie, the pie pan dial, the star and the observerstory. The case lugs also seem the correct style. This has a cal 501. Looking forward to your replies, thank you guys.
Can you share clear photos? Many members will be able to tell you if it’s a redial or not pretty much immediately.
The watch has not arrived yet. I will post pics as soon as. Thanks for all the interest, hopefully in the next two days as the watch is combing from Italy, seen on chrono24.
I have posted the chrono link, hope this works https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/ul...--id11178627.htm?checkoutId=1508526&showAll=1
What did you pay for this? Can you still get your money back? It's a redial (maybe even a fake dial) and maybe the case is fake too. The watch looks like it could have been a 2852 but it is'nt.
Refund if possible. It is not even correct redial to how it should looks. Case is big questions and not in good condition either.
Welcome @N1gel1963 This is a very strange watch indeed. As others have said, this ‘Constellation’ isn’t right. The sellers pics aren’t good enough to tell if the dial is Omega but it if it is, it’s a very poor redial. The case is definitely suspect. The incredibly wide bezel. No hallmarks anywhere to be seen. (the advert only mentions ‘yellow gold’ not 18k -did the seller tell you it was 18k or did you assume?) The medallion is a different colour and should have a brickwork observatory and it looks applied when it should be carved out of a solid case back. The movement is in terrible condition and the crown looks to be a pink seamaster crown. Sorry to say but definitely a pig in a poke I’m afraid.
Chrono add is saying the seller is a verified dealer so you have probably a 14-day return period according to european law and the terms and conditions of chrono....
