for sale is this gold-capped Omega Constellation 167.005 that I find myself not wearing enough:
The Watch
Omega Constellation “Dog leg”
Reference: 167.005
Movement: cal. 551 automatic
Serial: 20660517
Year: 1963
Case: 34mm gold-capped on stainless steel
Dial: white with tritium
Strap: Louisiana Croco (might have other options if interested)
Price: 860€
Condition
Dial & Hands: Original dial, not refinished in any way, in very good condition. I can spot minute debris under the magnifying glass, but what you see on the pictures is almost entirely on the plexi. Hands are in good condition but miss some of the lume, which is hard to note as it’s a similar color to the dial itself.
Case: Original 34mm gold-cap on stainless steel. Please note that the gold-cap is not worn through anywhere, the reflection in some of the pictures might look like it. Dog-leg lugs clearly visible. It’s not a safe queen, some small scratches here and there, most notably on the bottom lugs, only visible in certain angles/light. I tried to catch it in the pictures and pointed them out specifically, see below. Constellation medallion is crisp and all stars are clearly intact.
Crown: Original Omega decagonal crown, great condition.
Crystal: Original, signed crystal (Omega logo etched at the center), with a few scratches (nothing deeper) and a small crack between 6-7 o’clock that cannot be felt from the outside.
Movement: Original cal. 551 automatic in clean condition. It starts quickly and runs and sets well, service history is unknown, though. Serial dates the watch to about 1963.

Note the scratches on the lower lugs, this is about the worst angle I could find. They do not go through the gold-cap, though / aren’t deep.
