Omega Constellation dial query

Hello All,

I saw this watch listed online. A very knowledgeable friend looked it over, and was content with it, except he has raised questions about the dial. He wonders whether it might be refinished. His reasoning is that the only original black dials with cross hairs he has been able to find were produced for Constellations which were gold, gold-plated or gold-capped, or had gilt batons and hands and were made for the earlier models. He has found cross hairs on steel black dial Constellations but where they have been explicitly described as being refinished.
I wondered what you thought of it. My friend's view is that if it's a refinish, it's a good one.
My (entirely inexpert) additional question is whether the dial is a bit 'gloss'? Very hard to tell from the pictures though.
It is said to be 1963, cal 561.
Many thanks.

That is a redial, and not a very good one.
Really? Thank you for your time in replying. What are the jarring notes as far as you're concerned?

The crosshair is thick and the text also looks slopppy and thick. Colour of the printing also looks too white.

At least it's printed - the hand-written examples are in another league. 😁

apart from those comments noted above, the straight Ms are an obvious give away
