Dear respectable members,

for the two version of omega contellation deluxe model with 18k gold dial, which is more collectible and higher value between cal 354 vs full rotor cal 505 if both in similar condition?

Thanks

Peter

Hard to say.
I have both, one is 2699 powered by a 354 with a screwback, one is a 2852 powered by a 505 with a snapback. Certainly, a screwback makes it easier for me to gain access to the movement , that's why it has more time on my wrist (but another Respectable Member in this forum who owns a 2799 likes the dial with applied OMEGA than printed in ink)

Once you get into date movements its a no brainer, the 503 / 504 is so much easier to set than the 353/355 but even for the no-date, I actually like my full rotor 505 powered 2852 more than a bumper for some reason.

When I get into date movements, I prefer my 564 18K dial with a crosshair 😁

Wow...I have to keep my eyes out for one of those. Do you have another pic? 🥰

Which has the higher value is debatable but that might be a moot point since they seem to sell for about the same prices. Personally, I'll take the bumper 354 every time. There's just something about a watch you can feel working.

Speaking of 2699s, there's a Cal 352 just listed:

This week's been pretty full on for gold Omega Pie-Pans, we've had Seamasters and Constellations every day.

That's a pretty tired looking connie - case and dial look beat up and movement is not a correct 352 - some visible parts are wrong and serial is too late for a 352. Overall I would have to say avoid.

I was thinking the same thing. Also, there is no picture of the regulator. I suspect that this is a cal. 354 with one of the plates replaced with that of a cal. 352.
