·Hi OF,
Up for sale is my Omega Constellation de Luxe, ref. 2699. I bought the watch here on OF a couple of months ago and I must admit that I hate letting it go. But as it almost didn’t get any wrist-time at all since I‘ve got it, that‘s the way it has to be.
Some facts about the watch:
Price: 8500 CHF (about 8803 USD)
Delivery: I will send it fully insured at the cost of the buyer and of course I will send the tracking code as soon as possible.
Ref: 2699
Cal. 354 bumper
Dial: Solid 18k gold with applied Omega logo
Lugs: dog-leg
Service history: Unknown. The previous seller stated that a service was made a couple of years ago, but there are no papers. The watch runs nicely with good timekeeping. Nevertheless I would factor in a service for this gem.
Movement: shot is taken from the past selling offer, as I don‘t want to risk any damage while opening it. Watchmakers had to close their shops here in Switzerland due to the corona crisis, so I don‘t have the possibility to open it at the moment...
Bracelet: Solid 18k gold in brick-bracelet style. It‘s in a very good condition but, as you would expect from a vintage bracelet, it has some play. Some „bricks“ are closer than others (cf. pictures). That seems to be the case with all bracelets of this kind.
The bracelet is full length, no bricks were taken out.
Crown: seems to be a modern replacement. All other things seem to check out as 100% original.
Location: The watch is located in Switzerland.
Returns: No returns possible, I‘m a private seller. Please look closely at the pictures and ask all questions you might have.
As Desmond mentions this ref. as „star of the month“ in his blog, it’s a spectacularly nice watch. Pictures don’t really do justice to its beauty.
The ref. 2699 isn‘t listed on the Omega vintage database. That doesn‘t mean anything negative about its legitimacy though: http://omega-constellation-collecto...ega-constellation-model-2699-star-of.html?m=1
Movement and inner caseback picture from previous seller:
Thanks OF for the possibility to offer a watch here.
