    Hey guys,

I am the proud owner of a beautiful gold constellation de luxe that I've finally found after searching for this model for a while. It came in a really superb condition with an extract of the archives from Omega and I've managed to customise an amazing glossy gator strap for it. While I've been enjoying wearing this for a good few months now, I can't help but to feel that I want to know which is the true original gold bracelet for this watch, be it ricebeads/mesh.

I am also very curious to know where is the best place to find these bracelets, anybody have any for sale? I've seen a nice writeup of this watch but great pics, and now moreso than ever, I am keen on finding a beautiful original bracelet to go with it.

If you gents would be so kind as to point me in the right direction/resource, I'd be much obliged.

    Many thanks,
    Julian.

ps: Here are some pics of my baby, and one pic from the article written by Fratello watches with awesome mouth-watering bracelets

Customised it while I was on a trip to Paris by the awesome ABP paris. They are one of the best in the business IMHO. and it is ALLIGATOR btw, not that huge a fan of croc straps.

First off, that is one beautiful Connie! The strap is also of wonderful quality. Shows me I must stop my penny-pinching ways with my Vietnamese croc straps and invest a little more.

If I'm not mistaken the 7077 flat link bracelet is the 'correct' one for a De Luxe 2853 or 2799.

In my opinion way better looking on a 50's Connie than a gold mesh.

BTW -- I've bought a Connie on a gold mesh the other day and they are quite heavy. I believe about 60-70 grams.

But to me they suit the 60’s Connie design far better than de 50’s design.

I must say that the price is ridiculous and he clearly inhabits a world where gold is scarce/non-existent. It is clearly a non-omega bracelet so definitely a ridiculous price.

Strap-wise, I don't like to compromise on my leathers. I absolutely love quality leather and ABP definitely delivers. No point paying so much for a watch just to put it on sub-par straps. If you put it on a deployant clasp and with proper care, the strap can last so much longer too! and btw, don't get just a regular/generic deployant clasp, I highly recommend the clasps from Camille Fournet (the guys who make straps for JLC). The clasp quality is simply superb.

In amongst those pics I've shown above, this seems to be the best option, is this the 7077 flat link bracelet you refer to? I like this one but I just don't seem to be able to find ANY Omega gold mesh straps for sale anywhere.

Btw, how much would you guys pay for a gold mesh strap in good-ish condition?

I think the mesh bracelet you posted is the same as mine. It’s a ref. 1005 bracelet and I’ve seen them before on a dog legs lugged Constellation.

Yes I also think the mesh looks good on the later 6 digit references with dog leg lugs, hidden crown, etc.

For the earlier lyre lug, 4 and 5 digit references I much prefer an 18kt flat link 7077.

    Here on a 2652
