Hi all, I've recently had a Omega Constellation Chronometer Automatic cal 561 movement come into my stock and I wish to give the movement another lifetime of enjoyment rather than moving it for parts. I am looking to recase the movement and I recently tried a 168.005 constellation case which was too big for the movement. Does anyone know which case would fit the 561? The movement measures approx 28.3mm. Would obviously like it to be a constellation case. Any reply greatly appreciated. Kind Regards Tom
If you do an "advanced" search on eBay for "constellation 561" and check the "title and description" option, you'll get many hits like this onePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network, showing that the movement would fit in a 168.004, for example.
A 561 should fit in a 168.005 - it's a classic combination Perhaps our watchmaking gurus can shed light on why the case is too big Does the OP have something missing ? Pics of case and movement would be useful

As mentioned on TZ. It's probably the dial is not designed for that case. Lip inside case should fit around the edge of the dial. If not. Either too small or too large DON
Just see your reply on MWR don, Thanks for that! The hope of recasing is slowly slipping away. Kind regards Tom

Great shout that. Just checked ebay sold listings and there was a similar movement and dial which had sold.
Very clean movement. Worth selling and using the money towards something else. I used average movements to repair others, but clean ones like this I kept and later resold to buy more movements DON
