    Hi,

first of all I want to say hello to everybody and introduce myself.

I am an Omega fanatic from Europe and this is my first post here. Till now I only collected Seamasters (Seamaster 30, Seamaster 600) but now I got the chance to buy an 352 Constellation (585 Gold). I haven't seen the watch - I only got some pictures from the seller and it seems to be in good condition.

I already checked the pics and read Desmonds blog. As Constellations are not my topic by now I would be thankful for every help about the authenticity of the watch. What do you think would be a fair prize for such a Constellation?

    Many thanks in advance.

Yup that's a buy! Nice ref 2648 with waffle dial and an early ( for Constellations ) 12.8 million serial number cal 352. Yellow gold?

Although the dial looks to be ok to me, we would need to see a better picture of the text just to make sure it passes the MOY test.

Does it matter that the cross hair isn't centred in the middle of the Omega logo?

I can see enough to make a fairly confident call that the dial here is good ;)

If you're buying, don't pay a premium for the box, as it is for a Constellation Calendar, which this isn't.

It's a pretty uncommon piece with the textured dial...buy it if the price is good!

I presume you to be deducing that from the "d" Mr. Holmes?

Please don't tell me I am wrong. I was feeling pretty smug ::facepalm2::

The watch is pretty lovely, by the way :)

    Thanks for your response
I asume that it has to be yellow gold as it is 14 carat and refferring to old-omegas website there is only white and yellow gold with 14 carat

Thanks for the hint with the box
The seller asks USD 1.900 for the constellation - whats your opinion about the prize?

Good deal for an uncommon early constellation in nice shape. All the parts look original including the crown.

At $1900 you should already be wearing it! :D and If that was offered to me at $1900 I wouldn't even negotiate, I'd just count 'em out!

    :D

I'm just impressed with your observation skills, I was completely mesmerized by the dial and couldn't see anything else!
